Death Tricheco was a trio that existed in Venice, Italy from 1988 to 1992. In those four years they recorded hours of music in their home studio at the Canaletto House onto two dusty old tape decks. Their gear included shitty casios, toy drum machines, old multi effects units, anything they could get on the cheap or was laying around. They only “officially” released three tapes, and even those only existed in editions of 20 that were handed out to friends.
Hit Parade Estate is one of the tapes they recorded in 1989 that never made it past the master. It’s the kinda stuff that makes us go wild, lose our mind over here. The tape’s all over the place, man, it’s runnin loose. Filled with sloppy keys, muttered vocals, hiss, strange rhythms, squibbles, squirms and the occasional “real” instrument. It doesnt even sit still enough for you to pin it with a genre tag, which is just how we like it. It fits so well on OJC you’ll forget it was recorded 25 years before we existed.
